It is not polite to use ALL CAPS. I do not know why people do like this :)

I downloaded ftp Voyager two days ago and use it to download cygwin from (/pub/cygwin/release) (or any cygwin mirror site). The site only allow one ftp connection from an IP address.

The software worked fine if I download manually. I think there should be a pop-up window to indicate the source directory and destination directory before ftp begins. The cygwin is about 4G so I have to do it over a few times. Here is the suggestions:

1) When I restarted the program to continue the download, the software did not remember where I left previously. As I did not click on the download directory correctly, the download started again. I only discovered it later. I wasted some time and I had to delete the download. The second time I had to select the right directory for download. It should ask me if I want to save the current source and destination directories for continuing later.

2) I tried to use synchronization but the site only allow one connection for one IP address, so the connection is not successful. However, the software is able to find out what are the difference. It suggested me to use Connection Saver. However, I enabled it from the site profile but still it used more than one connection. I think it is a bug.

3) I do not know if it was caused by my PC or remote site or the software, the download stop several times in the process. I thought the connection was slow but I could still surfed the Internet. I disconnected and connected again but the program was still there. I had to reboot my PC. Could it be due to large download directory tree?

4) The help is not complete. There is no forum on your website. I could not find "connection saver" as suggested by software.

Some web site has md5 checksum, can the software make use of this? Do you only compare size and date/time of the files to determine if there are the same? Since I could not use synchronization method to download, I resolved to use download. It asked if I can to replace the file, so I just pressed "No to all". I am not sure if the download is okay.

Functionality there

I specifically needed an FTP client program that I could schedule to upload certain network folders on a nightly basis to an FTP server. This was a requirement for our website, which we dynamically generate every night locally.

I evaluated many ftp programs and this one is the one I went with as it had all the features I need. I can make it a windows service so I do not even see it running. I can easily change what happens to an event and what time to run the event. I have not really used the client, just the scheduler, but I am pleased.
